Personal Challenge - Day 1

Today has been absolutely wonderful and I'm beginning to think that when I spend more time involving myself in things that please me, the happier I am.

This morning started out well, getting all the kids dressed and Nikholi to the bus stop on time. When Bri, Lttl1, and I returned home we headed out the door again for the "Mom's Club of King George." We had soo much fun meeting new friends and learned some Halloween Safety tips from Deputy Moneyhun. I loved his last name, I kept sayin' it over and over in my head and giggling about it.. Moneyhun..Do you have any Moneyhun? lol. He was a really nice guy though. We finished out the Mom's Club painting with marbles, getting a fake tattoo, and making fabric ghosts.

Roger got off working with his dad early and I picked him up and we headed to the Dollar Store to pick up some curtain rods for some curtains that I purchased (hopefully we'll be able to hang them up tomorrow). Then we drove down to Colonial Beach to drop off our rent check. I love the Beach, it's soo beautiful..

maybe it's something with feeling the sand sliding in between my toes

and for some reason, I have also noticed my obsession for taking pictures of seaguls:

I was waiting for this one to fly away before the wave crashed into him:

I love taking pictures of Roger spending time with the kids, it's just so wonderful to see their interaction. As opposed to him engaged in TV, the kids jumping on the bed, and him justifying that as spending time with them.

I also love nothing more than to see MY Man holding OUR Baby, it's such a beautiful sight to behold; and to know that our love for eachother is what created such a wonderful life.

What could be better than sharing the experience with my daughter of the cold water rushing over our feet.

After relaxing and snaping pictures left and right we drove to a LARGE building filled with tons of shops that held many antiques. Something I couldn't walk away without was a Raggedy Ann...
I've always wanted one of these! I just wanna squeeze her, hold her, and love her.
I felt Bri was a bit jealous of me and Ann's relationship, I had to get her something too. This wonderful woman offered Bri a Mickey Mouse book, which she gladly accepted and the lady also offered me a discount on any of the larger peices she had on display; which sold me on a beautiful side leaf table. So once we returned home I had to clean my GAR-OFFICE to make room for it.

I feel it's Evolving and becoming more and more a place of my own; a place I can escape to and relax... and study.
On our way home from picking Nik up from the bus stop, we spotted a TURTLE!!

For our craft of the day, we made little ghosts (like we made at the Mom's Club as a family). Roger even joined in on the fun!

Before we had NO Halloween decorations (something that I'm gonna have to work on building up). BUT Now we have these awesome fabric ghosts hanging in the entry way to our dining room!

If you're wondering how we made them...we used an 8in x 8in piece of white material, a grocery bag, twisty ties, and markers. We crumbled the grocery bag into a tight ball, wrapped the white fabric around the grocery bag and twisted off with a twisty tie. THEN we gave each of our ghosts their own personality!

I hope everyone had as wonderful of a day as I have. I'm actually looking forward to tomorrow! :)
